maglionero
a name in accordance
with tradition
The Rizzi brothers, with respect and extreme simplicity, chose the name “Maglionero” (Black-mallet) for the excellence of their production of professional and kitchen knives to remember and honour their father, Pietro, who with determination and craftsmanship worked for decades at the mallet. Black identifies the noble concept of the forger’s fatigue, which, mostly in the past, at the end of the day found himself with his hands and face impregnated with the dark dust of metalworking.

Anywhere in the world, anyone who uses a Maglionero’s blade made in Premana, both professionally and not, will be able to appreciate its perfect quality.
The greatest moral achievement that man has ever achieved is the work of the forger: with it destructive violence is transformed into creative power.

PREMANA,
THE ISLAND
ON THE MOUNTAINS
As soon as the Valsassina’s road ends, Preamana appears to the visitor almost clinging to the mountainside, like an island lost in the middle of a green sea, because Premana is really an island, not just because of the distance travelled to reach, but because its unicity.
The thing that makes Premana a special place is the magnificent nature that surrounds it, with its majestic mountains, its clear waters, but most of all the inhabitants’ character and the distinctive features of this amazing community enriched by traditions and characterised by craftsmanship, singing and old dialect, legends and modernity, work and enterprise.
